EXPERT MEETING no2 in Martin, Slovakia

Expert meeting nr. 2 took place in Martin, Slovakia (19.4. – 21.4.2018).

During its activities, the model for training on the ice was formed.

According to the project plan, six experts from sport and health sector and a managerial expert established the model for training on ice. Experts represented the partners from health, sport, and recreational sectors.

Additionally, experts from Stavanger, HMI Slovakia and company SPORT.VIDEO were all invited. Also, the coordinator of the meeting from HMI Slovakia was present, as that phase of the project is believed to be of the highest importance. For that reason, more experts – as planned in the project description at the beginning – and coordinator were invited. They established the methodology for a new model of training on ice.

Participants:

Peter Andersson (Stavanger Hockey) – responsible for the expert group, responsible for the sport and pedagogic sector
Petra Zupet (EFSMA) – an expert in the field of health and safety – responsible for health and safety sector of the new high-quality model
Pšenka Tomáš (HMI – Slovakia) – hockey coach, responsible for the sports sector of the new high-quality model
Jure Verlič (HDK Maribor) – sports expert, responsible for sports sector of the new high-quality model
Tony Batchvarov (Ice sport club Varna) – hockey coach, responsible for sports sector of the new high-quality model
Flemming Green (Danish ice hockey Union) – sports expert responsible for the sports sector of the new high-quality model
Laura Rollins ( Stavanger Oilers) – sports expert responsible for the sports sector of the new high-quality model
Matej Matušek ( HMI Slovakia) – sports expert responsible for the sports sector of the new high-quality model
Ivan Matušek ( HMI Slovakia) – coordinator of the meeting
Alenka Hiti ( Akademija Rudi Hiti) – The project manager, who is present at all meetings and is responsible upon the task of transferring the information to the local coordinators of the project effectively. The project manager is also assigned to pass the conclusions from the implementation part of the project.

During the preparation phase, promotional activities took place. They consist of:
– designing the complete visual identity and multimedia products (photos, videos), creating a multi-language website, renting of advertising space; preparation and printing of promotional materials – flyers etc;
– promoting the project through media (PR) and social media networks on special events (meetings, championships etc.).

The experts from various sectors including sport, health, and safety, will form the new model for training on ice.
Each expert should oversee their own field: 1 expert for safety and health, 7 mentors for the sport-educational sector. Responsible for the expert group is Peter Andersson from Stavanger Hockey.

FOCUS
During the expert meeting, the focuse was on the methodology of the new training model on ice. Six target groups for participants were defined. Also, the target group of mentors to be educated in the next meeting in Copenhagen was established.
For all the partners who will implement the model, Ivan Matušek offered help with getting extra equipment from NHLPA.

CONCLUSIONS
The group of experts defined the target groups of participants, divided them into 6 categories and defined the group of experts.

Educated coaches with great hockey knowledge and good pedagogical knowledge.
